You Don't Have to Use This Time to Do More

There has been an insurmountable mountain of recommendations in the past few weeks of how to spend your time in quarantine. I even released a piece with ideas a couple weeks ago. An overwhelming number of them recommend using this time to learn a new skill, tackle the project you’ve been putting off, or invest in self care.

Staying Fit While Staying Home

Illinois finally issued a formal shelter-in-place ordinance starting this past Saturday at 5pm. Many other states and counties across the country, and even more places around the world are in the same boat. Many businesses that have been deemed non-essential are closed - one of those being the gym.

Life Lessons from Anime

If you had told me even two years ago that I would be so into anime that I would be gleaning life lessons from it, it would have been awhile before I stopped laughing in your face.

My sister can attest to the fact that I used to ridicule anime as well as pretty much anyone who watched it regularly (pokemon was exempt for whatever reason), since they normally bore the brunt of my teasing, and I never pictured it as a valuable addition to anyone's life.
